Running Document Options
Open your document in Word and open the LawY add-in.
Open the Document Options tab. LawY detects the matter automatically and shows it at the top of the panel. If it can't detect one for example, the document wasn't opened from a matter pick it from the Matter dropdown and select Analyse. When the matter is already detected, analysis runs automatically and there's no Analyse step.
LawY reads the document and returns a tailored set of actions:
Check matter: verify a specific claim or issue against the evidence and correspondence in the matter.
Research: targeted legal research on an issue your document raises.
Review and Redline: review or mark up the document. These are surfaced quickly. If a document you want to mark up isn't picked up, you can request it here.
Check matter or research anything else: write your own query when the suggestions don't cover what you need.
Click any action. LawY opens in your browser at that matter, drops in the full query, and runs it against the matter's documents returning an answer that cites the source document, date, author and specific detail.

Good to know
Document Options reads your document to generate suggestions. It never edits or rewrites your text.
The generated list is a starting point, not a ceiling use the free-form option any time it doesn't cover what you need.
