Whether you have transitioned from another practice management system or have been managing your contacts manually, LawY helps you control all of your contacts.

Contacts in LawY are created in two ways:
AI-Generated Contacts
LawY automatically creates contacts based on the content of the documents in your matters.
User-Created Contacts

You can view and edit any contact in LawY.
Click Contact Name.
Click Edit.
Update any information necessary.
Select whether you want LawY AI to automatically update the details if new information is found in your matter documents.
Tip: Roles are managed within the context of a specific matter. You can update the roles in Matter Details.

You can view the change history in LawY and restore previous versions.
Click on the View Change Log icon.
Review the history of changes made to the Contact.
Restore a previous version if needed.
Important: Restoring a contact to a previous version will permanently remove any updates made after that version. Double check before confirming.

Q: How does LawY AI update Contacts?
βA: LawY AI continuously monitors new information across your workspace. If it detected updated roles, contact details or affiliations, it can automatically update existing contact records - reducing the need for manual edits.
Q: Can I see what's changed in a Contact?
A: Yes β all updates are logged in the View Change Log History. You can review any version of a contact and revert to a previous state.
Important: Keep in mind, reverting will delete all changes made after that version and cannot be undone.
