What This Article Helps You Do

The Canvas Control feature gives you direct, section-level editing of LawY responses. You can now fine-tune specific parts of the AI output without regenerating the entire response just to fix one sentence.

How to Use Canvas Control

  1. Run a Prompt from the prompt library, download a prompt and run it in Word, or ask a question using the Chat

  2. Hover over a section of the AI-generated response you want to modify.

  3. Click on the section (paragraph, bullet, etc.) you want to modify and click Canvas icon

  4. You can choose one of the following actions:

    1. Regenerate just that section

    2. Provide follow-up instructions specific to the selected text

    3. Delete sections you don’t want

Canvas only affects the selected portion — everything else stays intact.

Example Use Cases

  • Rerun a poorly written clause without touching the rest

  • Delete sections you don’t need

  • Ask “Make this more aggressive” on one paragraph without redoing the full draft

  • Refine tone or formatting in specific sections

What Makes This Powerful

  • Precision editing without disrupting surrounding content

  • Faster iteration — no more regenerating from scratch

  • Smarter AI collaboration — LawY AI understands the context of the section you selected

Troubleshooting & FAQs

Q: Does this change how prompts work?
A: No. Prompts still function as before — Canvas just gives you better control after the AI generates a response.
